Basing it off my first education of this which is Tae Kim&#8217;s page <a href=\"https:\/\/guidetojapanese.org\/learn\/grammar\/must\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><s>First here are the statistics I found based on the possible sequences which ignore shortcuts.<\/s><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><s>\u3060\u3081<\/s><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><s>Whether it was \u306f\u30fb\u3068\u30fb\u3070.  \u3060\u3081 was never used maybe meaning it&#8217;s not used much anymore.  Or maybe \u3060\u3081 is too strong.<\/s><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><s>\u3044\u3051\u306a\u3044\/\u3044\u3051\u307e\u305b\u3093<\/s><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><s><strong>\u306f<\/strong> had only one occurrence and it was the positive \u3066 form of \u6226\u3046.  This means essentially &#8220;mustn&#8217;t battle&#8221;.<\/s><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><s>\u201c\u76f8\u624b\u306b\u898b\u3064\u304b\u3063\u305f\u307e\u307e \u6226\u3063\u3066\u306f\u3044\u3051\u306a\u3044\u201d\u3067\u3059<\/s><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><s><strong>\u3068<\/strong> had more occurrences and all had negative verb prefixes meaning they were all &#8220;must &#8230;&#8221;.  As per the \u3068 condition logic.  These are supposed to be natural consequences of actions but they seem generic to me.<\/s><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve kept the above although crossed it out.  After further working on this I realize how complex this is.  Although I knew I would have to incorporate short forms at some point I didn&#8217;t realize until later that \u3060\u3081 was used but was always \u30c0\u30e1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I realize that this grammar component is bad to start with although probably the one I&#8217;m most interested in.
